The connection between art and nature is what the German-British artist Alf Löhr deals with. His main subject is The Tempest, inspired by Shakespeare's work from 1611. Especially Löhrs new works are dynamic. Löhr transfers feelings like love, sadness and anger – emotions that can increase to powerful tempests. The wide horizon and the sea of his residence Whitstable in Kent inspired him to his Blue paintings. William Turner visited the same place at the beginning of the 19th century.
